Last Thursday, July 1, the annual Trinity/HMTCA Summer Writing Academy completed its work. Taught by Trinity College professors in the Allan K. Smith Center for Writing and Rhetoric and HMTCA teachers, the program is a yearly offering for students at partner school, Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy (HMTCA).
This program seeks to have HMTCA students learn writing skills and ideas as an introduction to various types of college-level writing. While usually offered as a mandatory program, HMTCA students were able to participate by choice this year. In addition, the program was taught online.
Next summer, the program intends to move back in-person on the Trinity College campus for more interaction between professors and students, plus other campus activities. Learn more about the Trinity-HMTCA partnership here.
